Bugaboo chocolate fantasy

Hello friends,

How is everyone these days?  I hope you are well and healthy. I have to admit, I haven't been as creative the last little while as work as been very busy, so today is a mental health day for me. I got to enjoy that chocolate fantasy this morning when no alarm was going off. This image is another from Bugaboo digital stamps. I just love her images. I was disappointed when I found out the new printer I bought is not designed for cardstock, so I had some struggles until I figured it out. I am so glad it worked because I don't know what I would do without my bugaboo images. This image came at the perfect time for my co-worker's birthday, as she is as big a chocolate fan as I am. It is so perfect for her. I also used the bugaboo sketch challenge #817

I would also like to add this to the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by today.

A bear birthday

Hello all,

I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.
I have another post today for the Bugaboo Catch the Bug Challenge - Bear with Me. Who doesn't need a cute birthday bear greeting?  I coloured the image using a combination of Copics and Tria markers. I like doing the fine details with the old style Tria markers because they have a fine point. I had the ribbon in my scraps, and the paper is from DCWV.
I am also submitting this card into the following challenges:
Allsorts Challenge blog #580 - I spy something with a "B". (bear, balloon, box)
Dream Valley Challenges - All occasions
Mojo Monday - sketch 541.
I wish everyone a good day.  Thanks for stopping by.

Jungle Friends

Hello all,

I hope everyone is safe and healthy.  It feels like we are living in a strange jungle ourselves. I am very grateful for our low numbers in BC, and to all those who help with the fight to keep those numbers low.
This stamp set has been sitting in a drawer for some time, and I just had to use it again.  I think it's so sweet. It is from Autumn Leaves. I used mostly Copics to colour the images. I got a large ink dribble on the tree, so I used the bird to hide it, but it works with the design from the Bugaboo Sketch challenge # 811.

I also used the colour challenge from Bugaboo June challenge.  I would also like to submit this card into the following challenges:

I hope everyone has a great weekend, and keep crafting!

Cherry Blossoms

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to post an update with a recent card I made.  The cherry blossoms outside made me think of this stamp from Stampendous.  It's a pretty simple design, but I love this stamp, and it seemed to go so nicely with the free paper from Cardmaking and Papercraft Kate Knight 2010 design I had in my stash. I used Copic markers to color it. I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Use Dies or punches. I used a nestabilities die.
Through the Purple Haze Challenge # 167 - Anything goes
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything goes.

I hope that everyone is safe and healthy at this time.

Owl birthday

Hi everyone,

How time flies by, again. It seems like I never post Christmas cards because I am always so busy during that time of year, so I have skipped that again and moved onto new birthday cards.  I turned to my favorite Catch the bug challenge blog "Stella says sketch challenge #805" to use a sketch that would work for the owl. When I looked at my last post, I realized that I used some of the same papers. They are great colors, and although they are suppose to be a Christmas paper, I find it works for much more than Christmas. The owl is a die set from a card making magazine that I got. The embossing folder is from Lifestyle crafts, and I believe the branch is from Sizzix. It comes with cherry blossoms, but I haven't ever used the flowers.

Bugaboo Be Naughty

Hi everyone,

Another bugaboo image and another great sketch challenge to play in.  I had started coloring this image a few weeks ago with no plan in mind, but I knew I would use it soon. This sketch challenge just seemed to work perfectly. I am going to join a few other challenges since their are lots of us making Christmas cards right now.

Thanks for stopping by.

Elegant birthday

Hi everyone,

I wanted to post a card I made for my very special Mother-in-law a few weeks ago.  This is a brand new die that I found from Creative Expressions that I have been wanting to use, and am very happy with how it turned out.

Happy Easter everyone and thanks for stopping by!

On vacation

Hello everyone,

It's been longer than I hoped before posting again.  I have been working a little more this summer, so I hope to post more cards soon. Although not tropical, I thought this was a good reminder of our Alaskan cruise earlier this year.  It's also a new stamp that I had been anxious to play with.  The stamp is from Stampscapes and is very long, so I just chose one end of it.  The paper is also new to me and from DCWV.
I am entering this into just a few challenges:

Scrap-Creations:  Vacation
Chocolate, Coffee, and Cards:  Life's a beach
C.R.A.F.T. Challenges:  Inspiration picture
Simon Wednesday Challenge:  Beach/Nautical

Thanks for stopping by.

Busy, busy, busy

I feel awful that I haven't been posting for awhile. Life just got so busy, I had very little time to myself. The only cards I have to show are for Christmas, even though I know everyone is over Christmas and onto Valentine's day. I hope you will still enjoy them.
This card was made using Little Loud Stamps. The punch is from eksuccess and is actually a flower underneath the snowflake, but the swirls reminded me of a snow drift. There is a little bit of glitter on the snow, but it doesn't show very well.
Enjoy your evening and thanks for stopping by. Tanya.

Bella birthday

Things have been busy. I 've had very little time to do much crafting at all, but I was able to sneak in a few cards I would like to share before I dive into my Christmas cards (I can't wait to get those started). This card was sent to my friend in September. Pretty basic design using Birthday bella stamp, DCWV paper, and some gold ribbon. I colored Bella with Tria markers and cut the image using Spellbinders. Thanks for stopping by and I hope to have more to show you soon. PS, Please show your respect for our veterans this Rememberence Day. Cheers, Tanya R.

My Mother's birthday

Hi,
I was away on holidays recently and missed my Mother's birthday, so I gave this to her when we returned. It took me awhile to punch all the holes in the butterfly images and then to stencil it, but I like how it turned out. I found the stencil in Edmonton along time ago and had never used it before. The die-cuts from Sizzix were cut on glitter paper, although it is hard to see on this picture. The papers I used were freebies from papercrafts inspiration (I think). I haven't been working in my craft room too much, but I hope I will have something to show you soon. Thanks for stopping by. Tanya R.

Good morning,
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I can't wait to go to the zoo tomorrow with my niece. I just hope the weather is good. I duplicated this card from a magazine. It caught my eye and I just had to try it. Mine is not as embellished as the one in the mag, but I did use the same paper. I also had to make my own candle with paper because I did not have a birthday candle in the house. I may have made it a little tall. I used flowersoft for the icing, and all the paper used is from DCWV. The sentiment is a sticker from Papercraft Inspirations magazine. I hope you like it, it was alot of fun to make and give. Thanks for stopping by. Tanya R.

Introducing Audrey

Hi Everyone,
I am pretty excited because I have just entered this card into my very first challenge at The Greeting Farm. I made this card for my friend's little girl, who is not so little anymore. I colored it using Tria markers on Tria paper. The message is an embossing folder from Crafts Too. Thanks for stopping by. Tanya R.

Welcome Eli!

Hi Everyone,
I have to admit that I have not been working in my craftroom too much these days. We finally have some sunshine, but most of all, I have injured my finger and it is now in a brace. The doctor's say that I should try to avoid using it. Considering it is my right index finger, that is not an easy task. So even now typing this is a challenge, but I wanted to still share some designs I have done recently. This one is to welcome my friend's little boy into the world. He is a cutie. I used a dreamweaver stencil for the carriage. I glued and glittered the de-bossed side. The background is a rubber stamp I picked up at Michael's awhile ago and the congratulations is embossed with white embossing powder. I have to start a card now for her baby shower and I hope to show that to you soon. Thanks for stopping by.

Welcome Paris!

This card was made for my friend's new arrival, Paris. The teddies stomach is in the shape of a heart and covered in white fun flock to give it a soft touch. I colored the bear with Tria markers to give it more depth. Thanks for dropping by. Tanya.

Popcorn Bear Tags

I got a wonderful package of popcorn bear chipboard tags from Simply Cards & papercraft magazine and so I have been creating these great cards with them. The first one is for my Mother-in-law for Mother's day. I found that this paper from K&Company went really well with the daisies in the background of the tag.

And this card was made for my Mother on Mother's day.

This card was for my friend on her retirement. This was a perfect tag because she is an avid gardener. The paper I chose is DCWV. I am sure that you will see more of these tags in my future designs cause they are just so darn cute.

Birthday boys

I finally have a moment to catch up on some posts. I have been noticing a pattern of posting about once a month (I wish it was more). These pics are actually from April birthdays that all fall within a week of each other.

I made this card for my husband's birthday. I used DCWV papers and die-cuts for the hearts and "happy birthday".

This one was made for my father. The tree is an embossing folder from crafts too. I used chalks to color it and heat embossed the "hello" with burgundy powder.

I made this card for my brother's birthday. The bee stamps used are from Local King rubber stamps. I stamped "happy" twice and then cut out the yellow stripes.

Thanks for stopping by.

More Christmas cards

This is another favorite from Local King Rubber stamps. It's great for the outdoor sports enthusiasts I know.

This card was fun to make, although I had no template to cut it out with. I got the glitter idea from another blog and I love the effect. The snowman is a sticker I got from the dollar store and the ribbon came from Michael's.

This card is stamped with one of my faves from Local King Rubber stamps. I love this stamp because I have a lot of hockey fans in my family. The snowflake paper was a freebie from one of the magazines that I get and I used Crayola markers to colour the scene. I also like this card because it could be used for any winter occasion.
