Owl birthday
Hi everyone,
How time flies by, again. It seems like I never post Christmas cards because I am always so busy during that time of year, so I have skipped that again and moved onto new birthday cards. I turned to my favorite Catch the bug challenge blog "Stella says sketch challenge #805" to use a sketch that would work for the owl. When I looked at my last post, I realized that I used some of the same papers. They are great colors, and although they are suppose to be a Christmas paper, I find it works for much more than Christmas. The owl is a die set from a card making magazine that I got. The embossing folder is from Lifestyle crafts, and I believe the branch is from Sizzix. It comes with cherry blossoms, but I haven't ever used the flowers.

I'm back
Hi everyone,
I have been away from the blog, but not away from card making and crafting in general. I have continued to work on lots of things, but I got frustrated with my computer and therefore stopped posting.
I was excited to see this challenge from Bugaboo because I had a little boys birthday coming up and he loves dinosaurs. I have to say I don't think I have any dinosaur stamps, so I was super relieved to see I had a Bugaboo image that is just perfect, and then a perfect sketch challenge to make it all work. http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.com/2019/02/stella-says-sketch-challenge-704.html
The paper is from DCWV.
I hope he likes it. Thanks for stopping by!

Fisherman birthday
Hi Everyone,
So again, it's been awhile since my last post, but not for lack of creating. I have been working on diaper cake orders. I haven't made one in a very long time, and just received 5 orders.
Anyways, this card is for a very special young man who loves to go fishing with his Grandpa. I purchased this image from Bugaboo stamps, and it is just perfect. I coloured it with mostly Copics, but I have Tria markers in the mix. I also coloured around the edge of the die cut to give it a bit of a frame. The sketch is also from the Bugaboo challenge #410. I am also joining the following challenges:
My time to craft: Summertime
Die Cuttin Divas: Birthday # 272
SweetStamps: Anything goes
Thanks for stopping by!

Pizza Birthday 2015
Hi everyone,
This card is for my nephew. I found this image in my digi's from Dustin Pike, and thought it would be great for a man's card, plus it was pre-coloured which worked well with the fall colours challenge. I thought the Pizza maker looked a little confused, so I added a message on the inside "Cake?" as if he didn't realize it was suppose to be a birthday cake. Besides, some of us prefer pizza anyway. My submission for challenges are:
Southern Girls Challenge: Let's Celebrate
The Paper Shelter: Challenge 223: For the Man in your Life
Craft your passion challenge 283: Anything goes
My time to Craft: challenge 306 Autumnal colours
SweetStamps: October Anything Goes
Crafting with friends: Challenge #8 Anything goes
That's it for me tonight. I hope to be back with some Christmas cards shortly, and maybe more birthday cards. Thanks for stopping by.

Embossed birthday
We have been enjoying a pretty hot summer here, so it's been a little hard to hang out in my small craft room without air conditioning, but I took a class a few weeks ago which I thought would make a perfect birthday card for some friends and family. I also wanted to practice the technique. This is a double embossed card I learned from Jessie Hurley. The embossing folder of the butterflies is a Darice folder and the dots, I believe, is a Cuttlebug. I used Memento ink to color the background and butterflies.
I am entering this into the following challenges:
The Friday Mashup! - Challenge #222
Seize the birthday - Anything that flies
Fussy and Fancy Friday - Challenge #146 Birthdays
Simply Create Too - Challenge #92 Anything Goes
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
