Hello friends,
I can't believe it has been so long since my last post. I have to admit that I have not been crafting as much this year, but I am into my busy birthday season now, so I should have some more work soon.
This card was made for a tween boy, but clearly could be for anyone. The top right circle is completely glitter, and you may notice a bit of black got into the white circle (boo). For the other circle I used white card stock in the center. That wasn't the plan, but sometimes you have to make alterations. :s It's hard to see with this picture, but the "Happy Birthday" stamp is also colored with a glitter pen at the top making it two tone.
I am planning to try this again with other shapes, using my Spellbinders dies, and I hope with practice I can make it a cleaner look.
Thanks for stopping by.

O Christmas tree
Hi Everyone,
I have a few Christmas cards on the go right now, but when I saw the challenge at Meljen's I thought I would stop the card I was working on and participate. It has been a long time since I have joined in on a challenge. I chose a fairly easy image to color up, and although you can't see it, the garland is colored with a silver glitter pen to give it a bit of glitz. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
I am a winner on Meljen's challenge blog. Thanks so much. I can't wait to have a chance to play again with my new images.

Wedding card 2013
I haven't been doing a ton of crafting this year, but I have still made cards for special occasions for my friends and family. This card is one of the most special ones I have made this year. My cousin got married to a wonderful woman.
The idea for this card actually came from their 'save the date' card and their invitation. They had a branch with a tiny bird on the save the date card, and a chandelier on the invitation. The paper I used is DCWV, and I found this spellbinders die after a long search. The lovebirds stamp was a little large for the tree, so I used Shrink-a-dinks to make it an appropriate size. I haven't used Shrinks since I was a kid, and forgot how they work, so there is a slight bend in the finished product. I am still very pleased with the final result, and so was the bride and groom. :)

On vacation

Hello everyone,
It's been longer than I hoped before posting again. I have been working a little more this summer, so I hope to post more cards soon. Although not tropical, I thought this was a good reminder of our Alaskan cruise earlier this year. It's also a new stamp that I had been anxious to play with. The stamp is from Stampscapes and is very long, so I just chose one end of it. The paper is also new to me and from DCWV.
I am entering this into just a few challenges:
Scrap-Creations: Vacation
Chocolate, Coffee, and Cards: Life's a beach
C.R.A.F.T. Challenges: Inspiration picture
Simon Wednesday Challenge: Beach/Nautical
Thanks for stopping by.

Back to crafting
Hi everyone,
I can't believe it has been so long since I have posted. We moved last year, and since then, I have been slowly working on my room, but just have not made it a priority. It felt great to be crafting again though. I certainly have missed it. I took a couple of classes in the meantime, that were great.

I made this gift for one of my co-workers who had twin girls. I used a meljen's digital image. I was so happy to find this because I thought it was just perfect. I colored the image with copic markers. The soother attached was given to me by a friend who had gone to a baby shower, so I am going to enter this into the recycling challenge at Meljen's. http://meljensdesignsdt.blogspot.ca/2013/04/challenge-156-recycle.html
I also made this 3 tiered diaper cake for her. Inside are different baby products.
Thanks for stopping by today, and I hope I have more to show you soon. Have a great day!

Elephants never forget
Hi everyone,
Can you believe I am posting again already? Unfortunately, this card is very late. This is for my niece, who's birthday was on Friday and it is still sitting beside me. I have to get this in the post! I used the sketch from Mojo Monday #242. I apologize to the digi artist that created this adorable elephant. I neglected to record who it was from. The ribbon was given to me by a friend and the die cut is from Spellbinders. The white paper is actually designer gift wrap that I bought at Indigo, and the purple paper is DCWV, pocket full of posies.
Other challenges that I am submitting to are:
Die Cuttin Divas - Banners, Buttons and/or birthdays
Southern Girls Challenge #45 - Diecuts
Totally PaperCrafts #118 - Animals
Scrap Creations - Bingo (Flower, Die cut, Digi Image)
Sweet Stamps #66 - Anything Goes
I hope everyone has a great week, and hopefully I will be posting again soon. Thanks for stopping by.

Rockin birthday
Hello everyone,
I was so happy to see that Peggy chose stitching as her challenge for Farm Fresh Friday. It has been a long time since I have used one of the Greeting Farm stamps (this is the first time I have used this one), and I don't normally do stitching (or faux in my case), so this just came together perfectly. I am also a big fan of Peggy's work. She is a great inspiration. In the corners of the card are music inchies by Inkadinkadoo. Unfortunately, they don't show very well in the picture. I wish I had embossed them.
I am entering this into the Farm Fresh Friday challenge.
As well as the following challenges:
... Joyful Stamper: Inspire Me Fridays - 60 Anything Goes!
Totally Gorjuss - Something new
Charisma Cardz Challenges - No Flowers
Paper Crafting Journey - Anything for kids #10
Fab 'N' Funky Challenges - A new beginning #122
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day.
Tanya.
