Elephants never forget

Hi everyone,

Can you believe I am posting again already?  Unfortunately, this card is very late.  This is for my niece, who's birthday was on Friday and it is still sitting beside me.  I have to get this in the post!  I used the sketch from Mojo Monday #242.  I apologize to the digi artist that created this adorable elephant.  I neglected to record who it was from.  The ribbon was given to me by a friend and the die cut is from Spellbinders.  The white paper is actually designer gift wrap that I bought at Indigo, and the purple paper is DCWV, pocket full of posies.
Other challenges that I am submitting to are:
Die Cuttin Divas - Banners, Buttons and/or birthdays
Southern Girls Challenge #45 - Diecuts
Totally PaperCrafts #118 - Animals
Scrap Creations - Bingo (Flower, Die cut, Digi Image)
Sweet Stamps #66 - Anything Goes
I hope everyone has a great week, and hopefully I will be posting again soon.  Thanks for stopping by.

Rockin birthday

Hello everyone,

I was so happy to see that Peggy chose stitching as her challenge for Farm Fresh Friday.  It has been a long time since I have used one of the Greeting Farm stamps (this is the first time I have used this one), and I don't normally do stitching (or faux in my case), so this just came together perfectly.  I am also a big fan of Peggy's work. She is a great inspiration. In the corners of the card are music inchies by Inkadinkadoo.  Unfortunately, they don't show very well in the picture.  I wish I had embossed them.
I am entering this into the Farm Fresh Friday challenge.
As well as the following challenges:
... Joyful Stamper: Inspire Me Fridays - 60 Anything Goes!
Totally Gorjuss - Something new
Charisma Cardz Challenges - No Flowers
Paper Crafting Journey - Anything for kids #10
Fab 'N' Funky Challenges - A new beginning #122
Make It Monday - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day.
Tanya.

I love Snoopy

Hi Everyone,
This is my season of having to make many male cards, and like alot of you out there, I find it's not an easy task.  I had to search my stash, and decided on this stamp. I love Snoopy, and I bought this stamp mostly for me, but there is so much you can do with him.  I have used him before for male cards.  I didn't use any paticular sketch, and kept it relatively simple.  The papers are from DCWV and I used one of the ironworks spellbinders that my DH bought me.
I would like to submit this into the following challenges:

Crazy 4 Challenges #133 - black cardstock
Crafts 4 eternity #68 - something new (spellbinder is new)
Crafty Catz #129 - stripes or checks
DSYU #68 - stripes
PaperPlay challenges #16 - animal antics
Whimsy Stamps #35 - punches or dies
Pile it on #17 - sparkle and shine

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great week.

Spring is here

Hi everyone,

Here is a card that I made for my niece's birthday.  I found these great grass stickers at the dollar store, and was excited to try them.  The butterflies have a small amount of glitter, which is hard to see in this photo.  The image is a Meljen's digi, and the ribbon and butterfly sticker are from my stash.  I thought it was a great way to start the spring season.  I am submitting this into the following challenges:
Meljen's challenges - anything goes #106
Creative Card Crew - spring # 7
Party time Tuesdays - anything goes #61
Divas by design - use a stamp challenge #28
Crafty Catz - use a digi # 126

Simple Flower

Hi everyone,

I am showing off another birthday card I made for my Mother-in-law.  I wanted to go with a simpler look with this card.  Plus, I was excited to use my new punch from EK Success.  The leaves are from Sizzix, and the label is from Spellbinder.  The paper is DCWV and a few scraps that I had from other cards made.  I spent some time cleaning up recently and it's amazing how much scrap paper you collect.

Valentine's Day 2012

Hello everyone,

I am glad to be back. This is the card I made for my husband for Valentine's day.  As soon as I saw this image from Meljen's, I couldn't wait to use it.  I colored it with copics, and the paper is a freebie from Cardmaking and Papercraft.com.  I am really hoping to find more time to craft soon, but I seem to be fighting with the cardmaking mojo lately.  I am submitting this into a few challenges this week:

Meljens designs - anything goes
The pretty little ribbon - anything goes
Alphabet Challenge - A for animal antics
Totally Papercrafts - ribbons &/or bows
Fairy Fun Fridays - Let me call you sweetheart
Bling it on - Love
By the cute & girly challenges - Love is in the air
I brake for challenges - Love
Inky impressions - Punches/Dies

That's it for me tonight.  Thanks for stopping by.

Here's to 2012!

I know it's been awhile since my last post. Blogger has completely changed!  Last year was particularly busy for me and part of the reason was my trip to Disneyland just before Christmas.  Going to Disneyland during the Christmas holidays has always been a dream of mine, and it did not dissapoint.  I wish I could do it every year!  I wasn't able to make a lot of cards for Christmas because the trip was a little last minute and I admit, I procrastinated too long.  When I returned home, work was crazy busy and I have had no time to do any crafting since then.  I am hoping 2012 will bring more time and organization.  I would definitely like to do more challenges this year, including the Christmas card challenges, so I don't fall into the same problem as 2011.  I, unfortunately still have a lot of work and cleaning to do before I get to craft again, but I hope to join in again soon.  Thanks for visiting, and I hope everyone has a fantastic 2012!
Hugs, Tanya
