Hi everyone,
This is my second entry into the Color Hues Challenge blog #115. For this card, I colored the flowers and birds with alcohol markers. The die is also from Scrapbooking Made simple.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a wonderful day!

Hi everyone,
With the weather being quite toasty in our region, we have been staying inside a lot more these days. I was delighted to see the challenge colors for the Color Hues Challenge #115. I love this color combo. I was able to get two cards completed this time, and I had more brewing in my head but I didn't get them finished. The first one is a very simple baby card for a Dad. I used a die from Scrapbooking made simple with a light pink striped paper. I hand colored the image in a dark grey with a Spectrum Noir alcohol marker.
For my second entry, I also used a Scrapbooking Made simple die of a garden scene. I colored the flowers with alcohol markers, and added some grey shades to the birds.I hope you like the card. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!
Hello everyone,
We are having a beautiful summer weekend here on the West coast, but I chose to be in my craft room for the evening yesterday. I do have a few projects I am working on, but when I saw the new challenge at TGIF #535, I knew I had to pull out my new Trinity Stamp and die set!
I never thought I would have a use for the Superman image, but here we are. I can't wait to use this set more. It comes with a witch and ghost for Halloween, Santa for Christmas, and a fairy for fun!
I saved the sentiment for the inside. I hope everyone has a great day. Thanks for stopping by.
Hello everyone,
I have been working on cards lately, but for some reason, have not been able to finish one. I decided to try my hand at the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches # 692.
I found a scrap piece of Christmas paper on my table and thought I would shift my focus from summer to Christmas for a moment. I didn't add a sentiment because most of my Christmas stamps are in boxes now, but I don't think it needs one.
I took a small leaf branch to add to the Joy die cuts for a little extra interest. The paper squares are slightly different shades of blue that match the designer paper. The photo does not do it justice.
It's Canada Day weekend here, so I hope to have some more time to finish the other cards and post them, too. Have a beautiful day!
Hi all,
Wow, I am actually surprised how long it's been since I last posted. I know I got into my annual card exhaustion after Christmas, but this year took me much longer to get out of. I have still been creating the odd thing, but I have not finished any project. April is a big birthday month for me though. My husband, brother and father are all celebrating. This is the card I made for my brother using two current challenges.
The color hues challenge # 109 - yellow & blue, and Freshly Made Sketches # 684.
I hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by.
Hi everyone,
I was really needing inspiration this weekend, and definitely found it with the challenge blogs. Then I was on a role... this card was inspired by Saturday sketch challenge # 764. I cut out the trees from a paper pad from the Dollarama. I used a red scrap of paper from Recollections for the background, and added it all to some kraft paper. I love the warm colours of this card.
Hi everyone,
I have another project to post today for the current challenge at Just Add Ink #729. I saw some of the samples for the challenge and fell in love with Rochelle Blok's 4 Christmas trees designed in the colours of the challenge. I thought, what dies do I have that I can do something similar and found the ornament die from Memory box. Mine isn't quite as elegant as hers, but I love the colour combo. I used a matching colour gem with each of the ornaments. I used a Sizzix embossing folder for the background for a little extra dimension. I used a green foil paper around the edge.
